Snow Covered Lakeside Lodge in Island Park Idaho

Kristin Miller, manager at Lakeside Lodge, describes why visitors love exploring Island Park in the cold months. “During the winter you see a completely different side of Island Park. The reservoir freezes over and many people ice fish on the reservoir. We also get a lot of snowmobilers in the winter that come from all over to enjoy the wonderful snow we get in Island Park.” Lakeside Lodge offers top-of-the-line snowmobile and gear rentals for solo and group excursions. You can experience the beauty of Island Park on over 500 miles of their groomed snowmobile trails. If sledding isn’t your activity of choice, there will be plenty more events to enjoy at Lakeside this winter season.

Miller boasts of all the exciting events happening over the next few months at the Lodge. “Our next large event is our New Years Eve party. We have fireworks at midnight to kick off the New Year with our visitors!” The Lodge will also be hosting their annual ice fishing tournament on January 7th, their annual hockey tournament on February 10th through the 12th, and a vintage snowmachine show on January 14th! Later in the season around the end of January, Lakeside Lodge opens up their ice rink for public use. They will also be hosting a Food and Libations event where guests can enjoy an assortment of food and drink pairing stations.

If you’re planning to stay for more than a day, Lakeside Lodge provides guests with many lodging options to fit your needs. Rendezvous in their luxury cabins, spend the night in their campground, or bunk-up in one of their hotel rooms. Looking for a bite to eat? Visit the Lakeside Lodge Restaurant & Tavern and enjoy a taste of the high country while taking in the panoramic views of Island Park reservoir.

So whether you’re exploring the hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails, fishing the reservoir for cutthroat, or enjoying a cozy night indoors; Lakeside Lodge offers a perfect winter adventure for each one of their guests.
